The Sox Jocks were back, paying a visit to their arch-nemesis, the TPs of Christie Park.

Unfortunately, the MGs were distracted by some unsettling news and were ruffled by the mystery.

The Playgrounders took advantage of the preoccupied opponents, scored 10 runs and went home.

After the game, the spokesman for the Christie Pits reported that this was the best game TP had ever played, while Martin's attention was somewhere else.

Adding to the strangeness, TP was missing the teams post-game chilled beverages.

A robbery must have taken place.

The suspect, who pleaded innocent, was a man in the stands with large headphones who sang to himself [off-key] throughout the game.

He was apprehended by the authorities and deported to Bolton [named after Michael, the punisher of music, Bolton].

The men of the Grove will regroup and be back in action next week for the last game of the regular season.
